The Ripper is a melee weapon trouvé in Fallout 3.
Caractéristiques
The Ripper is a compact chainsaw-like arme consisting of a powered knife with a bladed chain. Contrairement à other armes de corps à corps in the Capital Wasteland, the Ripper is unique in that the personnage joueur can hold down the attack button and an ennemi at melee range will continuously receive dégâts. In V.A.T.S., it can cause an instant kill.
In the add-on The Pitt, a arme with identique functionality called an auto axe is added, which peut être réparé avec the Ripper.

The Ripper can successfully strike approximativement 400 times from full condition before breaking.
Variantes
- Jack - identique to the Ripper in raw dégâts, but more résistant and has the ability to score coups critiques. It also does an additional 50% dégâts to membre.

- Outcast leader Protector Henry Casdin at Fort Independence porte one.

- Tulip in Underworld sells one of them from time to time.
- Many members of the Brotherhood Outcasts use them when fighting robots outside Fort Constantine.
- Two are also situé in the Tenpenny Tower armes closet.
- Some Enclave troops in Raven Rock use them after Colonel Autumn orders them to attack the personnage joueur.
- The Confrérie de l'Acier rear guard at the Washington Monument has one.
- Lucky Harith may have one for sale, especially after investing in him during the unnamed quest Merchant Empire.
Notes
- The blade and teeth of the Ripper are covered in blood.
- The Ripper does not have a visible trigger or button to activate it.
Bogues
Sometimes when using the Ripper and then dropping it, the audio for the Ripper will continue to play. This bug usually fixes itself after a couple of minutes; Cependant, if it does not stop, loading another save file will fix it.[à vérifier]
