The hunting rifle est une arme dans Fallout 3.

Caractéristiques

The hunting rifle is a very précis arme and has the best zoom of the non-à lunette armes. The hunting rifle's dispersion can make the arme hard to use for sniping at long ranges without V.A.T.S. A skilled player can use this arme to great effect in most situations, even corps à corps combat inside buildings. The rifle is couramment trouvé in les terres désolées, facilitating repairs or replacement.

While the hunting rifle is depicted as a very précis arme, the in-game arme model does not have rear or front sights, nor does it have a scope. While this means very little in-game as unscoped armes in Fallout 3 don't use iron sights, in reality, this would make the arme extrêmement difficult to aim at longer ranges and would render it almost worthless beyond close-range encounters, even to a skilled marksman.

Durabilité

Malgré its distressed appearance, with its stock splitting, only held together with duct tape and wire, and a barrel and receiver that are heavily rusted and scratched, the hunting rifle peut tirer 667 cartouches, soit 134 rechargements, depuis une condition maximale avant de se casser.

Variantes

  • Ol' Painless - More puissant variant of the hunting rifle that has a higher cadence de tir and deals more dégâts, but is less résistant.

Emplacements

Notes

The hunting rifle is the only arme that peut être utilisé pour réparer Lincoln's repeater, a lever-action rifle that uses .44 Magnum rounds.

Anecdotes

  • Joshua Sawyer, project director on Fallout: New Vegas, describes the hunting rifle in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas as "pretty similaire to" old Winchester Model 70 rifles.[Non-game 1]
  • In Fallout: New Vegas, the hunting rifle uses .308 rounds instead of .32 caliber rounds; according to Sawyer, this was changed to .308 rounds in Fallout: New Vegas to help make the rifle's relative firepower more intuitive for players not familiar with guns, and because, in his explanation, revolvers and bolt-action rifles généralement do not use the same type of case (in Fallout 3, the .32 pistol is the only other arme which uses .32 rounds; the pistol and this ammo type were removed in Fallout: New Vegas).[Non-game 2]

Bogues

  • A gun model glitch may sometimes occur when killing an ennemi as they are reloading, causing the bolt of the gun to float above the rifle.[à vérifier]
  • Sometimes the gun might glitch in 3rd Person mode, where the gun will appear on the ground, where one last stepped. The personnage joueur will be holding nothing until le jeu is rebooted.[à vérifier]
  • Sometimes the gun will stay on the personnage joueur's back when drawn. It will look like the personnage joueur is holding nothing, but they can still shoot and see the arme flash. This may occur on ennemis as well, especially on wildmen in the steelyard with the The Pitt add-on.[à vérifier]
