Firelance is a weapon dans Fallout 3. It is the unique variant of the alien blaster.

Caractéristiques

De plus to its 100% chance de coup critique and high dégâts, the Firelance sets its cible on fire upon strike, causing 2 points of dégâts every second for 5 seconds. Both the Pyromaniac and Xenotech Expert perks affect this arme and it uses the rare alien power cells as munitions.

Durabilité

Firelance can fire 63 shots, the equivalent of 7 reloads, from full condition, before breaking.

Article principal : Fallout 3 random encounters

The Firelance ne peut être obtenu que in the Unidentified Flying Debris random encounter. See Fallout 3 random encounter locations (Type A) for locations where this event may take place. The encounter occurs only once per character playthrough.

Notes

  • There is no guaranteed location and the munitions scatters across the general area of the event, making recovering it a difficult task.
    • There is a total of 24 Alien power cells that drop with the event, but they may chargeur through walls, rocks, terrain, or can be flung off out of render distance, as can the arme itself.
    • Dogmeat can be used to recover the arme and the ammo, sometimes even if they are out of sight or clipped into objects.
  • The Firelance encounter produces a brief radiation field which is usually centered on the arme itself.
  • The arme can get stuck on unreachable buildings, tel que a water tower, or be picked up by NPCs, who happen to be in the encounter zone.
    • Hostile non-personnage joueurs may be able to pick up the arme from unreachable buildings, in which case it can be retrieved by killing and looting them.
  • The Firelance and the experimental MIRV break down faster than any other arme in le jeu.
  • Entering the console command getStageDone 00031E39 8 will return "1", if the encounter already took place in the world, or "0" if it can still occur.
  • If the event has not taken place, approaching any of the yellow-marked locations on the Fallout 3 random encounters map after using the command setStage 00031E39 8 will force the event to happen, even if there is another event currently taking place in that location. For best results, enter the command before approaching the area at all.

Anecdotes

  • The Firelance is a reference to an identically-named Martian arme appearing in the Wasteland paragraph book, in the red herring Mars plot.
  • An alien arme called "firelance" is also mentioned in a cut line in Fallout.[1]
