The samurai's sword is a unique melee weapon in the Fallout 3 add-on Mothership Zeta.

Présentation

This particular katana was the personal arme of Toshiro Kago, a samurai from roughly around 16th-century Japan.[Supplemental 1] Kago was abducted by the Zetan aliens and put into cryonic suspension aboard Mothership Zeta, and was separated from his sword, which was placed into storage elsewhere aboard the ship.

Caractéristiques

The samurai's sword deals higher dégâts than most other armes de corps à corps. It has a higher dégâts critiques than most bladed armes de corps à corps, and has a relativement low AP cost compared to similaire armes, allowing for more attacks in V.A.T.S.

Durabilité

The samurai's sword peut frapper environ 833 fois depuis une condition maximale avant de se casser.

Variantes

  • Katana - coups critiques deal less dégâts, but knocks foes down.

Emplacement

The samurai's sword can initially be trouvé in the waste disposal area of Zeta, accessible through the maintenance level (which can be entered only during the quest "Among the Stars"). It is at the outer southwest area in a closet full of medical supplies (see waste disposal article for a map (B) with the location marked). The sword should be acquired while Toshiro Kago is still in the engineering core, because it will be gone from the shelves after his disappearance, as Kago will have trouvé and retrieved his sword himself.

If not retrieved from the waste disposal, Kago will then have the sword équipé before the Lone Wanderer enters the bridge, and it can then be acquired by killing and looting him. No one on the bridge will become hostile.

Bogues

  • When trying to exit the waste disposal area, the teleportation matrix might not work. PC users can fix it by selecting the teleporter in console and use the command "activate". [à vérifier]
  • The sword might not appear if Toshiro Kago has been killed before entering the waste disposal area. On PC a workaround is "xx00bdb7".enable in the console.[à vérifier]
  • The sword may not appear even if Kago is not dead. [à vérifier]
  • When decorating your Megaton house, the sword's image will not appear while idle. Cependant, if you look directly at it and get close enough to pick it up, then the option to pick it up will appear - picking it up will place it in your inventory like normal even though you can't see it. [à vérifier]
  • It is possible to acquire two swords. First, get the one in the waste disposal. When you return to the engineering core, drop it right in front of Toshiro. Talk to him and tell him you trouvé his sword and he'll miraculously acquire one. Kill him and it will be on his body (just don't lose/forget the one you lâché). [à vérifier]
    • Fixed as of the most recent patch.
  • It is possible to equip Toshiro with his sword and still retain a copy. Reverse pickpocket the sword onto him, allow him to equip it, and pickpocket it back. [à vérifier]
    • Fixed as of the most recent patch.
